The superb Ustinov Writers’ Forum (Ustinov, Theatre Royal Bath) set its scribes a challenge: push yourself – write in a new way, or about something new, in a new format, or by throwing all your norms to the four winds.
Four of the resulting pieces will be shown on Wed 2 June at 8 at the Ustinov – a lovely space. I’ve written a “playful” and “dark” thing called Blind Eye [no, it’s not – it’s now called ‘Everyone Loves A Story’ – Ed]. And I loved doing it – I’m just surprised others liked it, too! Am now working out the kinks with the director, David Lane – a good but testing process – I never feel I can see the woods for the trees when it comes to my own quality.
